Responsibilities:

* Conduct intake assessments and provide individual and group therapy to adults, adolescents, and children with a range of mental health and substance use disorders.
* Complete all clinical documentation in accordance with NYS Office of Mental Health in an electronic medical record (EMR).
* Provide linkage and follow-up to clients during the stabilization period and immediately following.
* Coordinate with outside providers and collateral contacts.
* Attend routine supervisions and team meetings.
* Coordinate treatment with a multidisciplinary team.
* Complete training and maintain proficiency with de-escalation and physical restraint skills.
* Establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally.
* Foster teamwork, work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions.
* Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
* Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information, and activities.
* Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.

Requirements:

* Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling required.
* LMHC or limited permit required.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting required; clinic experience preferred.
* Prior experience diagnosing using the DSM V and experience with behavioral/therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and adults preferred.
* Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records required.
* Valid and clean NYS Drivers License required.
* Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
