Client Relations Specialist

Under the supervision of the Inside Sales and Customer Service Manager, the individual in this role will undertake essential customer service responsibilities, including processing incoming client orders, managing inbound and outbound communications, and fulfilling additional tasks as necessary. This position will also provide support to various segments of the sales team as required.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responding to incoming inquiries from dealers, veterinary clinics, online retailers, and distributors.
- Accurately and promptly processing client transactions such as orders, quotes, and returns.
- Handling orders received via electronic mail or fax for both domestic and international markets.
- Managing drop ship and special order requests.
- Establishing new client accounts and distributing welcome materials.
- Processing catalog requests, price lists, and addressing all email inquiries.
- Timely reviewing and managing backorders.
- Proactively engaging with existing clients to provide information and solutions that enhance sales and profitability for Armor Animal Health.
- Identifying potential new clients and introducing them to Armor Animal Health, fostering productive relationships aimed at increasing sales and profits.
- Collaborating with other departments to develop and implement strategies for expanding Armor Animal Health's customer base across the United States and international markets.
- Exploring innovative opportunities to expand the product offerings available to new or existing clients.
- Enhancing the dealer, veterinary, and distributor market business by delivering exceptional service and executing effective sales strategies.
- Completing international documentation required for export activities.
- Generating customer quotes.
- Documenting calls and activities in the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
- Creating a consistent call plan.
- Performing any administrative tasks that assist the corporate sales team as directed by the manager.
- Driving revenue through new and repeat sales by utilizing programs, promotions, and leads.
- Providing clients with information on products and solutions, including upselling and cross-selling, to enhance sales and customer loyalty.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of the Global Sales Policy and customer profiles.
- Utilizing cost and availability data to recommend alternative products and provide accurate information regarding stock status.
- Monitoring scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and following up with customers in case of delays.
- Assisting in other areas as directed by the manager.
Education and Experience: 2-4 years of experience in customer service sales and/or a two-year degree in agriculture or animal science. Experience in dealer market sales is advantageous.
Language Skills: Proficiency in reading and writing business correspondence. Ability to effectively and professionally present information and respond to inquiries from customers and colleagues. Proficiency in Spanish or another foreign language is a plus.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Other Skills and Abilities: A strong customer service orientation with the ability to understand customer business needs. Proven track record of meeting sales goals and driving sales growth. Proficient in computer applications such as Excel and other MS Office tools; experience with CRM systems is beneficial. Must be dedicated to exceeding customer expectations and be solutions-oriented; capable of working 40 hours per week, operating a computer, prioritizing tasks, problem-solving, managing multiple projects, working independently, following instructions, and performing under pressure. Excellent telephone sales skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
