Job Summary:

This role will involve providing expert contract management support to ensure compliance with federal regulations and successful contract execution.

The ideal candidate would be a recent retiree or professional nearing retirement looking for better work-life balance and opportunity to mentor and coach others.

Key Responsibilities:Contract Development:

Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including prime contracts, subcontracts, and modifications, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations and contract terms.

Contract Administration:

Manage contract performance, monitor compliance with contractual obligations, and resolve disputes or issues that may arise.

Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate contract risks, develop risk management plans, and implement risk mitigation strategies.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with federal laws, regulations, and policies, including the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), and other relevant regulations.

Reporting:

Prepare and submit required contract reports and documentation to internal and external stakeholders.

Certifications:

Maintain relevant certifications, such as Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM).

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in government contracting, with a focus on DoD contracts.
  • Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of government contracting regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
  • Experience with contracting software or tools.
  • Familiarity with specific DoD contracting programs or initiatives.
  • Experience with proposal development and evaluation.
