Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Structural Mechanic II to join our team. As a key member of our assembly and fitting team, you will be responsible for the assembly, fitting, drilling, and riveting of detail parts and structures. If you have a strong background in structural assembly and are proficient in close tolerance work, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assembly, fitting, drilling, and riveting operations to ensure parts and assemblies meet requirements.
  • Use specialized tools and equipment, including portable riveting guns, pneumatic drills, and counter sinks, to rivet structural members, assemblies, and parts.
  • Remove fasteners without damaging structures and maintain logs and records of work performed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine the sequence of operations for rivets.
  • Instruct team members in interpreting blueprints and develop methods and shop aids for production installation difficulties.
  • Align and assemble parts using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
  • Make repairs per Discrepant Material Tags, Material Review Requests, and Production Change Orders, and perform necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity.
  • Support Lean Activities and contribute to the improvement of our assembly and fitting processes.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years related structural assembly experience.
  • Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math.
  • Knowledge of composite resins and materials.
  • Skilled in close tolerance work with special tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Own transportation for training and out-of-station work.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam.
  • Q-stamp certification.

We offer a competitive salary range of $20.00 to $23.00 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and a 401K plan. Our associates may also be eligible for paid leave, including Paid Sick Leave, and Holiday pay where applicable.
