Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Music Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide individual and group music therapy sessions to patients, focusing on anxiety reduction, pain management, developmental stimulation, and alternative means of expression and communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement music therapy plans to meet the unique needs of patients and families
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide educational presentations to staff, volunteers, and community members on music therapy benefits and best practices
  • Assess patient developmental needs and establish plans of care
  • Document patient goals and objectives, and evaluate the impact of music therapy interventions
  • Work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment, prioritizing patient needs and schedules

Requirements

  • Board Certification or certification in process
  • NMT training or experience preferred, NICU-MT training or experience preferred
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy
  • One-year paid experience as a Music Therapist preferred
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals
  • Highly proficient guitar and vocal skills
  • BLS Certification required
