We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Special Education Teacher to join our team at VocoVision.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time, contract-based position requiring the delivery of personalized educational services to a caseload of 17 elementary students (grades 3-5) in a virtual learning environment.

About the Position:

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet each student's individual needs as outlined in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). They will also possess excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and the educational team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tailored Instruction: Deliver one-on-one or small group instruction remotely, adapting teaching strategies to meet each student's unique needs.
  • Student Progress Monitoring: Regularly track and assess student achievement, academic growth, and behavioral development, adjusting approaches as needed.
  • Collaboration with Team Members: Communicate regularly with parents, classroom teachers, and other specialists to ensure seamless progress tracking and instruction modification.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, participation, and progress toward IEP goals.
  • Behavioral and Emotional Support: Provide individualized strategies to address students' emotional and behavioral challenges in a virtual learning environment.
Qualifications:
  • A valid Colorado Special Education Teaching License is required.
  • Previous experience teaching elementary-aged students, especially in virtual or remote settings, is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational and documentation skills are necessary to track student progress across various educational goals.
  • Strong communication skills are essential to work effectively with students, families, and the educational team.
  • The ability to work autonomously while staying aligned with team goals in a remote setup is crucial.
Compensation and Benefits:

Our compensation package includes an estimated annual salary range of $60,000 to $65,000 based on 10 months of work, with hourly rates ranging from $35 to $37.50 per hour. Weekly pay is also offered.
