Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Margaret Mary Health. As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing patient assessments and therapy to inpatients, outpatients, skilled, and long-term care patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Select and administer appropriate evaluation tools, incorporating formal and informal tests as needed, to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Therapy Delivery: Provide hands-on care and treatment to patients, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment that optimizes performance.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Operational Tasks: Participate in departmental operations, including program development, and contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe environment.
  • Supervision and Education: Provide clinical supervision to COTA, OTA, students, and volunteers, as well as participate in peer review activities and assist with new team member orientation.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Master's degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Indiana.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong customer service skills, effective communication, and ability to use basic office equipment and operate various therapy equipment.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent walking, standing, reaching, talking, and use of hands.
  • May need to lift up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
