Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Barrel Cell Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine setup and operation, with the ability to work from blueprints and process specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate various machinery, including hand laps, hones, electrical deburring, and machining stress relief oven bore plating.
  • Work from blueprints, process sheets, customer, company, or military specifications, and instructions from supervision.
  • Maintain traveler packages, generate traceable paperwork, and physically move product within the department.
  • Perform all certified operator inspection requirements.
  • Improvise or adapt available equipment to produce parts to blueprint and process dimensions and specifications.
  • Maintain in good working order all necessary tooling, fixturing, and related accessories to support production requirements of the machines.
  • Apply shop mathematics to ensure accurate calculations and measurements.
  • Help train and instruct other employees as required.
