Position Summary:
The Emergency Room Nurse will be responsible for the comprehensive care of adult and pediatric patients facing critical health challenges. This role demands a high level of clinical assessment, advanced therapeutic interventions, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the care of patients in emergency situations, ensuring timely and effective treatment.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families throughout their emergency care journey.
- Maintain open communication with healthcare team members and recognize the necessity for prompt interventions.
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures or diagnostic evaluations.
- Perform essential medical procedures including IV insertion, intubation, medication administration, and blood draws.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a degree from an accredited School of Nursing or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Current RN licensure in the applicable state is required, or a commitment to obtain licensure.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting is essential.
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC from the American Heart Association are mandatory.
