Fabricator II

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator II to join our team at Kawneer Company, Inc. in Visalia, CA. As a Fabricator II, you will be responsible for fabricating aluminum products, including shrink wrapping and packaging components.

• Adhere to all company rules and regulations.
• Identify and retrieve materials by part number and product finish.
• Install glass tops and protect door/frame with packaging.
• Load and unload materials onto shrink wrap operations and machinery by hand.
• Read and interpret take-off sheets, cut lists, and shop orders to verify location of hardware.
• Verify all measurements for accuracy and quality.
• Cut and vinyl glass tops.
• Perform transactions for packaging.
• Identify and retrieve all needed hardware from storage.
• Package screws for hinges, etc. and affix to door.
• Mark proper identification on all jobs.
• Knowledge and ability to follow the Material Disposal and Recycling (MDR) process.
• Clean work area, tools, and equipment.
• Perform quality inspections and report errors.
• Complete checklists, reports, and logs as needed.
• Operate and maintain equipment.
• Flexibility to other positions as required for business needs.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• One to six months related work experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as take-off templates.
• Hardware by others experience a plus.
• Ability to flex to other stations when required.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondents.
• Ability to effectively communicate with other employees and supervisors.
• Ability to count, add, subtract, and multiply simple numbers.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with and respond to minor problems in standard work situations.
• Able to measure to 1/32 of an inch.

• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to repetitively lift up to 40 pounds or 1/3 of your body weight.
• Able to work 12-hour days and Saturdays.
• Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Able to bend and twist repetitively.
