Job Title: Forensic Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Occupational Therapist to join our team at Summit Behavioral Healthcare. As a Forensic Occupational Therapist, you will work with individuals who have been involved in the criminal justice system, providing occupational therapy services to help them achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to individuals in forensic settings, including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop strategies to promote independence and community reintegration.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of each individual.
  • Provide education and training to individuals, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Ohio.
  • Experience working in forensic settings, preferably with individuals who have been involved in the criminal justice system.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
