We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital as a Travel Nurse RN. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while gaining valuable experience and skills.
Responsibilities- Certification Requirements: ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory for this position.
- Job Details: IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital offers a charge pay system, which provides a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour.
- Staffing Ratios: The ideal staffing ratio is 5 nurses, 3 techs, and 5 patients per nurse. However, ratios may occasionally be adjusted to 4 nurses, 3 techs, and 3 nurses with 6 patients, or 1 nurse with increased ratios, which are rotated among nurses to prevent burnout.
- Experience Requirements: Cardiac experience is not necessary, but any Medical-Surgical (MS) or Telemetry experience is sufficient.
- Scheduling: Block scheduling is available, although not guaranteed. If a nurse joins the unit in the middle of a scheduling period, they will be assigned to available shifts. The next scheduling period is when they can request a block schedule.
- Requirements: IN license and certifications must be in hand to submit an application. A minimum of 1.5 years of experience is required.
- Skills: The ideal candidate will have experience in Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Monitoring, and Emergency Response. They will also be proficient in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, telemetry, and cardio-related procedures.
- Floating: Floating is 100% required for all travelers, who will be assigned to work within the hospital or at an affiliate hospital as needed.
- Schedule: The schedule requires working 3x12 night shifts from 7pm to 7am, with every other weekend.
- Unit Information: The unit specializes in Chest Pain, Heart Failure, COVID, and Alcohol Withdrawal.
- Additional Requirements: COVID and Flu vaccines are mandatory for this position.
