Job Overview

Impact Housing is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our construction team in San Diego, CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating efforts with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases.
  • Develop and implement job procedures and techniques to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team to develop safety plans and implement safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting to management.
  • Manage, train, and supervise project team members according to company policy.
  • Organize regular meetings with management and subcontractors.
  • Review contract conditions and ensure compliance with all contract terms.
  • Supervise documentation of significant project events, such as accidents, delays, and Change Orders.
  • Negotiate, prepare, and issue subcontract bid packages.
  • Maintain quality control and integrity of completed projects.
  • Avoid or mitigate claims and conflicts.
  • Complete all job close-out procedures.
  • Conduct warranty follow-up and ensure project completion with a full or enhanced fee.
Requirements
  • 10-15 years of experience in commercial and podium multi-family construction, with modular experience a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction principles and practices required.
  • Experience dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors, and/or self-performance work.
  • Excellent organizational, team management, problem-solving, and motivational skills.
  • Knowledge of San Diego trades and permit process a plus.
  • Solid computer skills, with a working knowledge of MS Smartsheet, Procore, and modular construction a plus.

Competitive salary range of $165,000 to $175,000 depending on skills and experience.
