Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our team at GreenPoint Ag. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network maintenance, management, and leadership.

The IT Manager will be responsible for analyzing current systems and assets, recommending and implementing solutions and upgrades, and providing training to our team.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing IT budgets, leading teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze departmental needs and identify vulnerabilities to boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of AWS network/server infrastructure
  • Manage Help Desk Operations, including leading a team of technicians and ensuring prompt resolution of user inquiries
  • Identify areas for process improvement, automation, and optimization within the help desk and network/server management functions
  • Collaborate with AWS support and other technology vendors to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues
  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of changes to the network/server environment
  • Analyze network capacity requirements and plan for scalability to ensure the network infrastructure can support growing business needs
  • Manage implementation of network monitoring tools and analyze network performance metrics
  • Implement and enforce network security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; Master's degree a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the technology field with increasing roles and responsibilities
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role; minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role in an IT setting
  • Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions
  • Sound understanding of AWS environment, Servers, networks, etc.
  • Experience in controlling information technology budget
  • Solid working knowledge of current security protocols and threats
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication abilities; strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with a broad base of customers, suppliers, and sales force personnel
Work Environment

The employee will regularly work in an office setting and will be required to sit for extended periods and use hands to finger. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Exertion of up to 40 lbs. of force may occasionally be required. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

Some travel may be required.
