Job Summary:

The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide/Porter to join our team. As a Housekeeping Aide/Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our facility, ensuring that our residents and staff have a safe and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Follow rules and instructions provided by the Director of Housekeeping Services to ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
  • Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, and restrooms, as well as recreational areas, daily as instructed.
  • Discard waste and trash in proper containers and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners.
  • Ensure work schedules are followed as closely as possible.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • On-the-job training provided.
