Job Title: Local Contract - Ultrasound Tech

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound studies and assisting radiologists and staff physicians in interpreting ultrasound studies.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound studies using good judgment and applying ultrasound equipment effectively.
  • Assess findings in ultrasound examinations and assist in interpreting ultrasound studies.

Requirements:

  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Passionate about patient care.
  • Minimum of two years of current Ultrasound Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Sonography program.
  • Active unencumbered Connecticut Ultrasound Tech state license.
  • One year of Cerner experience.
  • ARRT Certification.

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
