Job Title: Field Service Engineer

At Skillforce Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in Oshkosh, WI. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and evaluating low, medium, and high voltage electrical power systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand electrical one-line drawings
  • Perform testing and maintenance of power distribution systems
  • Inspect, troubleshoot/test, repair, and maintain low, medium, and high voltage electrical distribution equipment
  • Perform system studies such as Short Circuit and Coordination, Arc Flash, and Load Flow
  • Operate infrared thermography camera to diagnose equipment
  • Ensure electronic reports are completed promptly after project completion
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years field service environment experience
  • 5+ years experience testing and evaluating various voltage electrical power systems
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed (nationally)
Required Training:
  • Strong understanding of NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Specifications, NFPA70B, and Industry Codes & Standards
  • NETA or NICET technician certification or equivalent (manufacturer or other technical training)
  • Training in OSHA Electrical Safety and NFPA70E safety guidelines
  • Current knowledge of NEC, NFPA-70E, Electrical Classifications, IEEE/ANSI, and other applicable design standards and guidelines
