Job Title: Certified Epic Security Analyst I

Adventist Health is seeking a highly skilled Certified Epic Security Analyst I to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare IT team, you will be responsible for maintaining routine system software, evaluating user requests for special enhancements, and working with customers to gather specifications for the purchase, development, and installation of system software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain routine system software utilizing established standards and departmental protocols to meet user requests and specifications.
  • Evaluate user requests for special enhancements to system software.
  • Work with customers to gather specifications for the purchase, development, and installation of system software.
  • Maintain service level agreements with various end-user departments and enterprise business units.
  • Participate in analysis of documentation and workflows in departments, and design/redesign system components to support appropriate workflows.
  • Assist in analyzing existing methods and developing alternatives to increase operations and production efficiency.
  • Perform a needs assessment for complex workflows, customers, and/or clinical/revenue areas.
  • Assist in analysis and documentation of reporting needs of end users.
  • Follow project work plans and work cooperatively with project team members to coordinate assigned duties with the overall program and related projects.
  • Identify potential process- and/or department-specific risks and assist in strategies to mitigate or resolve them.
  • Research, document, and facilitate resolutions to issues reported by end-users.
  • Test system software per checklist guidelines and participate in the development of test scenarios.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to research and problem-solve technical issues.
  • Assist in the presentation of training to a variety of audiences.
  • Ensure that system documentation is current and available to the customer and that customers are educated as to where to find it.
  • Support optimization activities to ensure staff effectively use the systems.
  • Responsible for ongoing on call duties for one or more applications which generate Incidents outside of business hours.
Requirements:
  • Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Zero to Two Years Healthcare IT application/technical experience: Preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed, may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements: Preferred
  • Epic Certification/Accreditation in area of responsibility: Epic Security Certification Required
