Job Summary:

Avila Senior Living at Downtown Slo is seeking a skilled Medication Technician to join our team. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed.
  2. Ensure residents receive their medication on time.
  3. Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.
  4. Assist in meal preparation/presentation, serving to residents, and other dining-related responsibilities; record and report changes in residents' eating habits to the supervisor.
  5. Record and report changes in residents' condition to the supervisor, including changes in ability to perform activities of daily living, skin changes, bruising, etc.
  6. Daily follow up on bath schedules and vital signs (blood pressure, weight, and respiration, etc).
  7. Immediately report all incidents or accidents involving residents to the Resident.
  8. Follow proper procedures in emergency situations and respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, including emergency pull cords, telephone calls, and requests from family and friends.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Med Tech.
  2. Must have or be able to obtain a valid CPR certification.
  3. Speak, read, and understand the English language.
Work Schedule:

7:00 am-3:30 pm
