As a Caregiver/Med Tech, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Caregiver:
- Implement care plans and activities of daily living (ADLs) for residents, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Respond promptly to resident needs, including pendant calls and community alarms.
- Develop and maintain caring relationships with residents, promoting independence and self-care.
- Deliver care and services in accordance with individual service plans for all assigned residents.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of care delivered.
- Conduct visual safety checks on assigned residents and communicate resident status with next shift.
- Communicate changes in resident condition to nursing staff in a timely and effective manner.
- Complete incident reports accurately and timely, understanding policies related to safety and infection control.
- Med Tech:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, and transferring residents as needed.
- Ensure residents receive their medication on time.
- Lift and/or transfer residents as needed, promoting their physical comfort and safety.
- Assist with meal preparation, presentation, and serving, recording and reporting changes in resident eating habits.
- Record and report changes in resident condition to supervisor, including changes in ability to perform ADLs, skin changes, and bruising.
- Follow up on bath schedules and vital signs, including blood pressure, weight, and respiration.
- Report incidents or accidents involving residents to supervisor, following proper procedures in emergency situations.
- Proven experience as a Caregiver.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Med Tech (if interested in Med Tech position).
- Valid CPR certification.
- Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language.
- Commitment to health and safety.
- Able to perform housework and cooking tasks.
- Well-organized and reliable.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- A positive and compassionate attitude.
- Physical stamina.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6:30 am- 2:30 pm.
- 2:30 pm- 10:30 pm.
- 10:30 pm- 6:30 am.
