Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to prioritize patient needs and develop effective care plans
  • Contribute to a safe and quality-focused environment by identifying and mitigating potential risks
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry advancements
  • Precept and mentor new staff members to ensure a smooth transition and high-quality care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • 6 months of ICU or PCU (Progressive Care Unit) nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
