Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Dosimetrist to join our team at US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, generating, and evaluating treatment plans using computer software and manual calculations based on prescribed target region and avoidance dose criteria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate radiation therapy treatment plans using computer software and various imaging modalities.
  • Identify and delineate anatomy and anatomical positioning on various imaging modalities.
  • Perform patient-specific quality assurance activities under the direction of the medical physicist.
  • Complete treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner based on complexity.
  • Adapt to the ever-changing technology and be open to learning new systems and techniques.
Requirements
  • Credentials as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) or a current and valid certification as a qualified medical dosimetrist by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate plan details with physicians and staff.
