Job Summary:
The Director of Emergency Services is responsible for the continuous safe operation of the assigned department, including all aspects of patient care, budgeting, staffing, and quality assurance. This position provides the framework for the strategic goals of the department and coordinates the activities of the assigned division to execute daily operations and meet the objectives of the hospital's Plan for the Provision of Patient Care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement standards and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing care delivered.
- Have administrative responsibility for assigned departments and for program development within the Department of Patient Care Services.
- Work collaboratively with medical staff and hospital administration to personalize the Piedmont Medical Center strategic plan.
- Lead and participate in the development of programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) required within 5 years of acceptance.
- Minimum Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience as a Director/Manager in a Level 3 ED Trauma center is required.
- Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: A valid Permanent Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside is required. Should you hold a RN license from another Compact state, you are required to apply for and obtain a Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside within 30 days. BLS is required. Relevant mandatory certifications for the department within the orientation period.
