Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant

Adventist Health Rideout is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic PA to join our thriving program in beautiful Northern CA just outside of Sacramento.
Key Responsibilities:- Office-based pre-op H&P and post-op recovery of both Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery patients including, OR and CVICU.
- Autonomous and high-level acuity and responsibility.
- OR assisting for both Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery cases including Endoscopic Vein Harvesting using the MAquet VasoView Hemepro 2 system.
- Performance of bedside procedures including thoracentesis, chest tube placement, arterial lines and central venous access.
- Daily duties to be split 50/50 with current PA. Working as a team the candidate will alternate daily between the OR and non-surgical duties.
- Currently 2 surgeons and 1 PA doing 100+ hearts a year plus about the same number of thoracic cases annually.
- Endoscopic Vein Harvesting: 1 year (Required)
- Cardiac Surgery First Assist: 1 year (Required)
- Weekend and evening call coverage (Required)
Experience:
Provider must be California licensed or eligible and meet the hospital's medical staff credentialing standards.
Employed Model: Adventist Health Medical Group (AHMG)
- Position qualifies for Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program
Wage Scale: $200,000-225,000/year
