Job Overview:

The incumbent will be responsible for the analysis, management, and oversight of diverse chemistry and biochemistry policies and programs. This role requires providing expert guidance and feedback on the evaluation of materials, products, and devices, utilizing advanced knowledge in chemistry and biochemistry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex analyses to support various testing initiatives using a range of analytical instruments, adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Review, analyze, and document testing outcomes with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee the completion and processing of chemistry and biochemistry documentation and databases.
  • Provide expert interpretation and advice to staff and management regarding chemistry and biochemistry policies and practices.
  • Facilitate research and provide resolutions to management inquiries, coordinating necessary resources as needed.
  • Analyze ongoing operations and results to identify trends and present findings to management.
  • Ensure the integrity of testing processes and operational databases through regular audits and reviews.
  • Assist in the development of project objectives, including budget and resource allocation.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and samples to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Interpret and apply departmental policies and regulations, providing guidance as necessary.
  • Contribute to the department's efficiency by actively participating in team initiatives and suggesting improvements.
  • Promote a positive workplace environment by engaging cooperatively with colleagues and clients.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related discipline, along with two years of relevant experience in chemistry or biochemistry, particularly in complex program management. An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of chemistry and biochemistry principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with the administration of chemistry and biochemistry programs.
  • Ability to resolve complex chemistry and biochemistry-related issues.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations in the field.
  • Proficiency in using various testing tools and equipment.
  • Competence in relevant computer applications and systems.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to perform advanced chemistry and biochemistry tasks across various projects.
  • Experience in overseeing and managing chemistry and biochemistry functions.
