Job Summary

CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for leading and directing our Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, while also supporting the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects within your pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe handling and administration of medications, as well as the proper disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Provide expert guidance and support to our pharmacy team, while also staying up-to-date on the latest developments in pharmacy practice.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to patient safety, pharmacy operations, and quality assurance.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our patients and customers, while also promoting the CVS Health brand and values.
  • Personnel Management: Lead and develop our Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, while also promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels, while also ensuring the proper storage and handling of medications and supplies.
  • Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of our pharmacy, while also ensuring the efficient use of resources.
  • Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate potential risks and losses, while also promoting a culture of safety and security.
  • Workflow Management: Develop and implement efficient workflows to ensure the smooth operation of our pharmacy.
Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA)
  • No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree
