The 6 North Ortho/Medical Department at St. Francis Hospital is a 33-bed unit that caters to both orthopedic and general medical patients. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-6 at night, our team provides personalized care to each patient. The department's patient population is evenly split between orthopedic knee, hip, shoulder, and spine cases, as well as general medical conditions excluding acute cardiac or stroke.

This role requires a registered nurse who can assume responsibility for facilitating communication with the healthcare team and patients/families to identify and meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. As an advocate for patient well-being, you will promote optimal health through the use of the nursing process and adhere to patient care standards and guidelines. Furthermore, you will demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care and organizational mission.

PRN shifts require working five shifts per six-week period. To excel in this role, you must have an associate's degree in nursing and be licensed in the state of Colorado. A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred, and graduate nurses from accredited schools are highly valued. Additionally, you should possess at least one year of experience and specific nursing skills related to the specialty.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $33.15 to $57.93 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan with a generous match. Other perks include daycare FSA, tuition reimbursement, student loan forgiveness, and more.
