About the Role

Signature Healthcare at Home is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in providing high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial evaluations and assessments to determine the nature and extent of patients' speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care to help patients recover or restore communication skills and swallowing abilities.
  • Communicate with patients' physicians and caregivers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on safe swallow protocols and other relevant topics.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical and progress notes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice as an SLP in the state.
  • Meet the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC's) granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an SLP-CCC.
  • Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
  • Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and communicating with patients and caregivers.
  • Ability to meet productivity expectations, organize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Work independently with good judgment in difficult situations.
  • Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles, and ages.
