About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Roadside Assistance Driver to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing emergency roadside services to motorists on our tollway network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance to motorists in need, including changing tires, jump-starting vehicles, and providing fuel and other essential services.
  • Operate a motor vehicle to respond to service calls quickly and safely, while complying with applicable state and federal laws.
  • Patrol toll plazas and maintenance sites to ensure security measures are in place and there are no active issues such as fires or burst water pipes.
  • Assist with transporting inter-office mail and other supplies as needed.
  • Perform clerical duties such as record keeping of daily vehicle inspection reports, incident reports, and reviewing and responding to email messages.
Requirements
  • Requires a minimum of one year of general work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid State of Colorado License and have an excellent driving record.
  • Knowledge of car care procedures and the ability to use equipment such as auto jacks, booster cables, impact wrenches, air compressor and general tool sets preferred.
  • Experience with Traffic Incident Management and training is a plus.
  • National Incident Management System 100, 200, 340, 700 Certifications is a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
  • Ability to react quickly, calmly and with good judgment in emergency and non-emergency situations while working in an outdoor environment that may include inclement weather conditions and traffic situations.
  • Must be able to perform constant physical labor including stooping, bending, lifting, twisting, etc. outdoors in all weather conditions for full shift.
  • Must be able to communicate and operate a cellphone.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts as assigned, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
