Gymnastics Coach

Job Summary

As a Gymnastics Instructor with the Young Men's Christian Association of Wichita Kansas, you will be responsible for creating a safe and positive learning environment for participants of all ages. Your primary goal will be to develop progressive gymnastics skills while ensuring the well-being and safety of all participants.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of participants
• Instruct and evaluate participants in accordance with YMCA guidelines
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for participants
• Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff
• Build relationships with participants, parents, and staff
• Gather feedback from participants and share with supervisor to improve service

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18
• Minimum two years of relevant experience teaching the sport
• Ability to perform physical activities such as running, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to lead and coach teams and individuals
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to make independent and sound decisions in a rapidly changing environment

• Experience working with diverse groups of people
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and independently
• Ability to present a neat and professional appearance at all times
