Job Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Art Teacher to join our team at One River School of Art & Design in Woodbury-Syosset, NY.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for contemporary art education and experience teaching art to kids and teens.

The successful candidate will teach Manga Art Classes to students on weekday afternoons and weekends, using our proprietary curriculum and provided tools and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Manga Art Classes to students of various skill levels
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in art education
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience teaching art
  • Knowledge of Manga, Cartooning, and Digital Illustration
  • BFA or BS in Art Education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for One River School's mission
