Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Functions:
    • Operate personal computers to enter and assimilate data, generate reports, draft routine correspondence, and develop special administrative analyses.
    • Perform facility administrative support tasks, including filing, mail functions, faxing, and typing correspondence.
    • Execute complex administrative support duties involving the exercise of independent judgment and general directions.
    • Operate data entry systems for entry, tracking, and reporting.
  • Medical Record Functions:
    • Retrieve and maintain a tracking system for all medical record charts located on the facility.
    • Review medical records for completeness and accuracy, and file records and forms upon completion of use.
    • Maintain all logs, internal and external, to ensure compliance with policy and standard operating procedures.
  • Materials Management Functions:
    • Receive, store, distribute, and inventory materials, including narcotic-based medicines and medical supplies.
    • Maintain proper inventory levels and stock records in a facility supply storeroom or warehouse.
    • Fulfill requisitions, work orders, and supplies requests, returning expired/unused supplies to vendors for credit.
    • Maintain facility equipment and execute work orders as necessary.
  • Medically Delegated Functions:
    • Perform tasks delegated by physicians and supervised by RN staff.
    • Demonstrate competency to perform basic clinic-type tasks outlined in approved competency-based orientation tools.
    • Adhere to internal controls and reporting structures established for the department.
    Requirements
    • High school or GED equivalent.
    • One (1) year related experience in administrative support, medical, business, or applicable related fields.
    Work Environment

The work environment is located within the confines of a correctional facility. Security clearance is required, and pre-employment drug testing is also required.
