Job Overview:

  • Operates radiological equipment to produce high-quality radiographs that assist in guiding medical procedures.
  • Utilizes fluoroscopy technology during procedures under the direction of a physician.
  • Adheres to established radiation safety protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Accurately documents fluoroscopy durations in designated records promptly.
  • Collaborates effectively with the healthcare team, alerting relevant personnel to any changes during procedures.
  • Maintains a safe and hygienic working environment by following all procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Prepares patients for imaging procedures by positioning them correctly and adjusting equipment settings as necessary.
  • Employs aseptic techniques when preparing procedure trays, handling medications, and prepping patients.
  • Manages inventory of radiological and procedural supplies by monitoring stock levels, anticipating needs, placing orders, and confirming receipt.
  • Assists in surgical procedures as a scrub technician.
  • Completes the sterilization process for surgical instruments.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This role does not include supervisory duties.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited ARRT program.
  • ARRT certification is required.
  • BLS certification for healthcare providers through the American Heart Association.
  • Vocational/Technical or Associate's degree is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of radiation safety standards.
  • Strong organizational skills focused on enhancing patient care and workflow.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying patient volumes.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team, demonstrating self-motivation.
  • Proficient in following both oral and written instructions.

Work Environment:

This position typically operates within a medical surgery center setting.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands for this role include regular standing, walking, sitting, and using hands for various tasks. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 30 pounds and possess specific vision capabilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation & Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position.
  • Day Shift: Monday-Friday; start times vary.
  • No evening or weekend shifts required.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, 401(k), and paid time off.
  • Sign-On Bonus of $1500 - $500 paid on the first paycheck and $1000 after six months.
