Position Overview:
As a Medical Equipment Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of medical instruments and equipment. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Disassembling and decontaminating instruments and equipment to guarantee safe handling and effective sterilization.
  • Utilizing various sterilization methods to disinfect instruments, equipment, linens, and supplies.
  • Providing support to various departments concerning STAT case carts, intubation boxes, PAPR, Wound Vacs, and more.

You will be assigned a range of duties within the Main Reprocessing department, SDS Reprocessing, and GI Reprocessing, working independently while adhering to established standards, policies, and procedures of the Medical Center and Care Center.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • Certified Central Service Tech credential from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) must be obtained within 18 months of hire or transfer.
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Tech Certification from the Certification Board For Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) must be obtained within 18 months of hire or transfer.
