Job Overview:

As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Physical Therapist will be responsible for delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to patients. This role involves a comprehensive approach to patient care, ensuring that each individual receives tailored treatment to enhance their functional independence and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manages and adjusts patient appointment schedules to optimize service delivery and meet patient needs.
  • Conducts thorough assessments of patients, evaluating various factors such as psychosocial and safety parameters, in compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Designs personalized care plans aimed at promoting optimal recovery and safety, ensuring that all interventions are documented and aligned with established standards.
  • Administers skilled physical therapy treatments, utilizing therapeutic techniques and educating patients and caregivers on best practices for recovery.
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and nursing staff, to coordinate comprehensive patient care and maintain effective communication.
  • Oversees the clinical activities of Physical Therapy Assistants and students, ensuring adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Completes necessary documentation and paperwork to reflect the care provided and supports billing processes accurately.
  • Engages in training programs for various stakeholders, enhancing the understanding of rehabilitation services within the community.
  • Maintains professional knowledge and contributes to the advancement of physical therapy standards.
  • Participates in marketing initiatives to promote rehabilitation services and engage with the community.
  • Conducts health assessments and procedures as required, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Communicates effectively with scheduling personnel regarding any changes in patient care timelines.
  • Completes required assessments and documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory guidelines.
  • Works with quality improvement teams to enhance the accuracy of clinical documentation.
  • Adheres to agency protocols and processes to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Ensures safe patient discharges and transfers, managing all related documentation appropriately.
  • Participates in peer review audits, providing and receiving constructive feedback to foster professional growth.

Position Details:

  • Urgency: Normal
  • Shifts: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, with occasional on-call or weekend duties.
  • State License: Required upon acceptance.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 37 hours per week.
  • Sub Specialty: Physical Therapy.
