Dialysis Technician

We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Technician to join our team at UC San Diego Health. As a Dialysis Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and performing dialysis procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Initiate and monitor dialysis treatments, ensuring accurate and safe delivery of care.
- Perform venipuncture and administer local anesthetics, heparin, and sodium chloride solutions as needed.
- Assemble and maintain dialysis equipment, water systems, and other related supplies.
- Document patient data and treatment parameters, ensuring accurate and timely recording.
- Provide education and training to new technicians on dialysis-related equipment and procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and treatment.
- Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) or Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) certification.
- Minimum one year of experience as a CHT in a chronic outpatient facility.
- Recent dialysis experience within the past six months.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
- Ability to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
