StandardAero is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing programs for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines and related fixturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare machine/process setup and operating instructions.
  • Design and/or manufacture jigs and fixtures from sketches, requirement descriptions or drawings.
  • Provide support, training, and problem resolution to operations personnel who use computer numerically controlled machines.
  • Liaise with engineering regarding component repairs, inspection, and induction of new repairs.
  • Monitor performance, conduct feasibility studies, and implement process improvements for computer numerically controlled machines.
  • Prepare technical specifications and cost-benefit analysis for procurement of capital equipment. Liaise with management in the procurement process.
  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
  • Carry out special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of repair design and development engineering manufacturing process, tool design, and fabrication methods and processes.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and oral and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems. Master-CAM a plus.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc and Haas controls and the ability to program at the machine, as needed.
  • Prior experience as a machinist or toolmaker is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • College diploma in manufacturing technology or a related discipline; or equivalent is a plus.
  • Must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident per ITAR regulations.
