Job Title: Network Technician

Apex Systems is seeking a skilled Network Technician to join our team. As a Network Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of cable pathways, installing cables as needed, and supervising cabling vendors to ensure they meet AWS cabling standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Project Coordinators and Network Engineers to perform onsite position audits.
  • Install cables and define scope of work for external cabling vendors.
  • Supervise cabling vendors and perform daily audits to ensure vendor cabling and labeling meets the scope of work.
  • Coordinate install audits with Quality Assurance to ensure in-house or vendor cabling meets AWS cabling standards.
  • Manage work and project priorities through internal project tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles and support peers and internal customers as needed.
  • Travel within the East Bay region will be required.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Broad understanding of infrastructure technologies.
  • Knowledge of network cabling and standard optic types.
  • Familiarity with racks, fiber, and cable management best practices.
  • Experience working with and supervising cabling vendors.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Substantial background in large-scale data center network implementations and support.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience dealing with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
  • Effective prioritization and time management.
