The Practical Nursing Specialist will be a vital part of our Community Health Services Division, specifically within the Inova Cares Clinic for Community Bridging (ICCCB). This role is designed to assist medically vulnerable patients following recent hospitalizations or emergency department visits, facilitating smooth transitions in their care.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Practical Nursing Specialist, your duties will include:

  • Delivering basic therapeutic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Assisting in the management of patients with predictable care needs.
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and performance enhancement activities.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with established standards.

Work Schedule:
This position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with recognized holidays off.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:
Education: Completion of an accredited LPN program.
Certifications: Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
Licensure: Eligibility for LPN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with proficiency in computer applications.
