Behavior Support Specialist Role at CRSI

At Champaign Residential Services, Inc. (CRSI), we are seeking a skilled Behavior Support Specialist to join our team in Knox, OH. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, monitor, and coordinate designated behavior programs to ensure compliance with Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and Title XIX Medical Regulations.
  • Maintain awareness of new programming developments in behavior support and integrate them into daily practice.
  • Assist and monitor direct care and professional staff in behavior program implementation and documentation.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring and oversight of designated behavior programs, identifying patterns and discrepancies.
  • Assess and analyze behavior to develop plans, procedures, strategies, or supports.
  • Consult with other professionals as needed regarding individual needs and program progress.
  • Compile and present data on designated behavior plans, making recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:
  • A valid license issued by the Ohio board of psychology, counselor, social worker and marriage and family therapist board, or physician license issued by the state medical board of Ohio.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to extract pertinent information from verbal accounts.
  • Ability to work independently, as a team, and make good decisions based on analysis, judgment, and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
