Agronomy Specialist

We are seeking an Agronomy Specialist to join our team at our Holyoke, CO location. This role involves applying fertilizer and crop protection products in a sprayer or floater, as well as driving a truck to pick up and deliver product to customers. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with customers to educate them on products being applied to fields, techniques utilized, and how they can continue to support them with products and services.

• Apply fertilizer and crop protection products under general supervision, using high clearance sprayers or floaters.
• Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
• Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner, providing education on products and services.
• Educate customers on products being applied to fields, techniques utilized, and how they can continue to support them with products and services.
• Assist sales staff in ensuring orders are correct and patron needs are met.
• Perform warehouse work, including driving a loader, forklift, mechanics, and maintenance, to ensure efficient operations.
• Lift and load products, approximately 1-2 hours per day.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service.
• Ensure cleanliness of vehicle(s) inside and out, and work environment, maintaining a safe and healthy workspace.
• Complete and document daily maintenance inspections, ensuring proper equipment maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the team's goals and objectives.

• Class A CDL required.
• Meet minimum age requirement.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to work additional hours, be available for overnight stays, and occasional weekends to meet business demands.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
• Agriculture background and customer experience preferred.
• Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred.

• Ability to lift 75 pounds.
• Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins, and into the back of a trailer.
• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.

CHS Inc. offers a competitive total rewards package, including a base wage, bonus, incentives, and commissions. Estimated salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
