Physical Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Alta Mira NM. As a Physical Therapist, you will work with infants and toddlers, providing assessment and intervention services to support their development and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical therapy services with children in their homes, coaching families on routines-based strategies to enhance overall child development.
- Participate as a team member in initial and ongoing developmental assessment activities with children, summarizing results of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) in writing.
- Administer, score, and interpret formal testing instruments as appropriate, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
- Integrate informal assessment, behavioral observation, developmental history, and other professional assessment data to reflect a holistic view of the child and their needs.
- Participate in planning an appropriate Early Intervention program for each child through the IFSP process, making recommendations to families and other team members regarding therapeutic and other developmental services needed to achieve IFSP outcomes.
- Design individualized goals and objectives with families, ensuring they are developmentally appropriate, functional in nature, and related to ongoing routines of the home, class, and/or community.
- Complete IFSP and other paperwork required by DOH Part C accurately and in accordance with specified regulations and timelines.
- Implement developmentally appropriate Early Intervention services as specified through the collaborative planning process (IFSP).
- Facilitate collaboration with parents, teachers, and other professional staff through regular contact, paperwork, and designated team meetings.
- Schedule, plan, and coordinate therapy activities, monitoring the child's progress and/or effectiveness of the IFSP goals and objectives.
- Submit accurate and complete screenings, assessments, contact logs, billing documentation, and other written information as required, in accordance with agency standards and schedule.
This is a contractor position, and you will be maintaining your own workspace. This position does not qualify for any benefits offered to employees. EOE.
