Role Summary:
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to create precision components and instruments. This role includes working with precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical devices. You may also be involved in the fabrication and modification of parts to repair machine tools or maintain industrial machinery, utilizing your expertise in mechanics, mathematics, and machining techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Machine Operation:** Operate basic machinery and perform routine tasks effectively.
2. **Operational Management:** Execute operational tasks by adhering to established processes.
3. **Maintenance Support:** Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment by preparing and providing necessary support.
4. **Compliance Assurance:** Follow mandatory procedures to ensure work meets quality standards and adheres to regulatory codes.
5. **Precision Measurement:** Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and dial indicators to ensure accuracy.
6. **Policy Adherence:** Work under guidance to understand and comply with organizational policies and procedures.
7. **Machining Experience:** Demonstrate experience in a manufacturing or repair setting, particularly with manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills.
8. **Planning and Organization:** Collaborate with guidance to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet business objectives.
