Position Overview
The role of our Drivers is crucial for the success of our organization, ensuring that our products reach customers securely, completely, and punctually. As representatives of our brand, our Drivers embody the core values of our company. The foremost priority for our Drivers is safety; it is paramount above all else.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Transport goods over local distances to and from construction sites.
- Operate forklifts to assist in unloading construction materials.
- Manually load, unload, stack, and organize products as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, cargo, and working hours.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues to management.
- Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the truck.
- Document any road incidents and adhere to accident protocols.
- Comply with DOT, state, and local traffic regulations.
- Utilize GPS for route planning to ensure timely arrivals.
- Provide exceptional customer service and relay any customer feedback to management.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license.
- At least 5 years of driving experience.
- Must pass a drug and alcohol screening.
- Driving record must meet company standards.
- Ability to meet health benchmarks and provide a medical certificate, unless exempt.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on safe driving practices.
- Thorough understanding of logistics and transportation systems.
- Friendly demeanor with a commitment to outstanding customer service.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Regularly lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Frequently carry 100 pounds over distances of at least 12 feet with help.
- Occasionally push 100 pounds using a wheeled cart.
- Ability to bend, stoop, or squat frequently.
- Reach overhead to handle materials as necessary.
- Climb ladders as required.
- Possess hand-eye coordination for operating various equipment.
- Work outdoors in varying temperatures, from extreme heat to extreme cold.
