Progressive Care Unit Nurse

Magnet Medical is seeking a highly skilled travel nurse for a PCU position in Columbus, Ohio. With an estimated salary of $85-$115 per hour (based on 36 hours/week and 12 hour shifts), this opportunity offers a competitive pay package.
Job Overview- As a travel nurse in our Progressive Care Unit, you will provide intermediate care to patients with moderate to high acuity, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in patient assessment, critical care, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. They will be responsible for administering prescribed medications and treatments, monitoring patients with telemetry, and managing complex conditions such as heart failure and respiratory distress.
Responsibilities- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with moderate to high acuity, evaluating vital signs, lab results, and cardiac rhythms for any changes that may indicate a need for intervention.
- Patient Care and Monitoring: Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including IV medications, pain management, and blood products, while monitoring patients with telemetry and adjusting care as necessary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, participating in daily rounds and communicating with the team regarding patient condition and response to treatments.
