We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Screener to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Health Screener, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors by conducting thorough medical screenings and phlebotomy procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Greet donors and conduct initial screenings to assess their eligibility for plasma donation
- Perform venipuncture and phlebotomy procedures to collect plasma samples
- Monitor donors during the donation process and respond to any adverse reactions
- Operate and maintain plasmapheresis equipment, including setup, verification, and troubleshooting
- Stock supplies, break down empty cartons, and assist with proper disposal
- Take and record donor vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, and temperature
- Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS)
- Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
- Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 5 lbs. and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
- 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient-facing role
