We are seeking a highly skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team at the Arizona State Veteran Home - Tucson. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing therapeutic recreation programs that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs that meet the needs of our residents, including individual and group sessions, special events, and community outings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical and administrative records, including therapy plans, progress notes, and attendance records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for our residents.
- Transport residents to and from community outings and events, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to the development of individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.
- Professional certification in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field (e.g. Certified Recreation Therapist, Certified Music Therapist).
- Valid Arizona driver's license and ability to drive on State business.
- Ability to obtain and retain an AZDPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.
