The Role of Facility Operations Coordinator

This key role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. As a Facility Operations Coordinator, you will oversee the business office personnel, responsible for tasks such as insurance verification, scheduling, transcription, and billing. You will also coordinate activities with other departments, monitor timesheets, and troubleshoot computer issues.


Main Responsibilities
  • Manage on-site business office operations, ensuring compliance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with coders and billers to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Monitor timesheets and payroll reporting, troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain qualified personnel and promote a favorable image of the facility.
  • Ensure the protection of patient privacy and contribute to the development of the organization's compliance program.
  • Oversight of scheduling tasks to maintain efficient patient flow and effective utilization of resources.
  • Work closely with clinical supervisors to communicate time allowances and special equipment requests.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Two years of medical facility or medical business office experience.
  • Supervisory experience in an ASC environment, preferably with strong accounting skills.
