Bartender Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Central Bar + Kitchen. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable experience with every visit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Know and live the mission and values of White Lodging, demonstrating a passion for service and a commitment to excellence.
  • Complete all necessary setup, side work, and closing duties as assigned, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Check the restaurant before, during, and after shifts for cleanliness and remove any debris, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for guests and staff.
  • Maintain high cleaning standards of the bar, performing daily cleaning and side work tasks.
  • Check bar glasses for cracks, chips, and stains, ensuring they are in good condition for use.
  • Be knowledgeable of all menu items, their garnishes, contents, and preparation methods, and be prepared to answer guest questions in a direct and concise manner.
  • Know daily features and specials, using suggestive selling and upselling techniques to increase the check average.
  • Take guest orders correctly, read them back, and ring orders into Micros, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Check food presentation before serving, ensuring hot food is hot and fresh.
  • Check guest satisfaction with food quality within two bites, addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Present checks correctly, free from errors, and in a timely manner.
  • Follow and comply with all WL cash handling policies and end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Follow all WL policies and procedures, including work schedules and attendance.
  • Learn and maintain all information regarding the hotel, engaging in pre-shift briefings.
  • Promote teamwork and a friendly, safe work environment.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
  • Follow all AL standards for uniform.
  • Know all bar products offered to guests.
  • Make conversation with guests, creating a personal connection.
  • Ensure guests are not overserved beverages if intoxicated.
  • Be able to take out kegs, fetch new kegs, and hook them up, with heavy lifting requiring assistance from two people.
