Position Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our collaborative team, fostering open communication, support, and accountability among staff and clients.
The RN will conduct medication audits and provide nursing triage for children and adolescents receiving behavioral health services in both short-term and long-term community-based residential treatment settings.
This role will also involve participation in staff training and education, as well as client education groups, and will require collaboration with healthcare providers for medication administration, obtaining physician orders, and coordinating treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct medication audits and address discrepancies with administration to ensure compliance.
- Provide training on medication management to staff, including initial and ongoing education.
- Learn and implement MAP protocols, and become a MAP trainer (RN).
- Familiarize yourself with Gándara's medication policies and deliver staff training.
- Offer triage services to children and adolescents as necessary.
- Collaborate with medical offices regarding treatment for youth.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts RN License
- Minimum of 1 year of experience, preferably in residential care settings.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in behavioral health treatment.
- Must possess a personal vehicle and be willing to use it for work-related travel.
- Willingness to travel between various sites.
- Bilingual Preferred (Spanish/English)
